Well for one, Babcock is not running anything close to the Red Wings playbook because this team is totally differnet than the Wings. National teams that practice very little do not go into much of a true certain system. You let those stars go out and play and hope you find the right combinations and have a goalie playing well. Like I said earlier, take your Pens blinders off and realize that Crosby has not been the best player on this team for 2 games now. Iginla and Heatly have been better and Rick Nash played a very good game tonight as well. Yea, the refs missed a high stick on Crosby but that's the human error in officiating. It happens, move on. And if the opposing team is collapsing on Crosby and the ice is open, it's up to Sidney to get the puck to his teammates and make the other team pay for doubling him. Not Babcocks fault if Crosby turns the puck over. Coaches can only be held accountable so much. Players are ultimately the ones who have to get the job done.

And I don't have a problem. I gave the Pens credit for winning last year but if you must know, it was a very tough defeat to swallow looking back on it now. There is no doubt in my mind had the Wings been healthy throughout that whole series, they would have won but those are the breaks that happen throughout a 2 month playoff run. Lidstrom, Datsyuk, Hossa, Lilja were all hurt and not 100% and each had surgery right after the finals. Pens won game 7 at the Joe and for that I give them a ton of credit but that loss still stings but that has nothing to do with my comments towards you or Crosby. Obviously Babcock must think highly of Sidney since he threw him out there twice in the shootout.

Speaking of Jordan Staal, he should have been selected for the Canadian team, he's the best of the Staal brothers at the moment. I think Don Cherry on Hockey Night in Canada was 100% right in his assesment of Staal being left off the team, the kid can kill penalties (really good in 5 on 3) and is a constant threat short handed, plus his size, strength and reach is a big problem for other teams to defend.
