The Blue Devils trailed 37-25 at the break, in what looked to be yet another puzzling Duke road ACC loss in late February, something that has become sort of a tradition in recent seasons. Not this year.
Behind 22 points and 12 rebounds from Kyle Singler, Duke outscored the Canes in Coral Gables 56-37 in the second half to take the 81-74 victory and moved one step closer to a potential one seed birth in the NCAA Tournament. This is a toughness that has been lacking the past few seasons, and great to see back in Durham.
Nolan Smith added 21 and Jon Scheyer 15, 6 assists and 5 steals. Another excellent game from Duke's big three.
Go Duke!

Duke dominated the second half on the glass from what I saw. I don't know if the numbers will show it, but just watching it you could tell Coach K LIT them up at half.

He definitely put a fire under them, something I really haven't seen from K in quite some time. He showed spurts during the Clemson game earlier this year, but that was more excitement and adrenaline. I haven't seen him this pissed in awhile. This is the Coach K I grew up loving, that nasty streak he learned from his mentor, the greatest coach in the history of basketball. I like it.
I am shocked Duke won, and even more shocked with how convincingly they did it in half number two. I fully expected to see a second half comeback, but ultimately another fold in Coral Gables. I'm pleasantly surprised.

They were up 7, I think, and then Miami cut it to 2. I was thinking to myself that this might turn out to be a good night after all. lol

In the first half as was resigned to fact that this would not be a good night for Duke.
Ref's blowing whistles too much
Miami hitting shots
Duke missing shots
Amazing how a halftime can turn the game around. They made up that defecit by the first TV timeout of the second half.

great second half from the devils . Nice to see Zoubek with two big games back to back. Mason showing flashes is also nice to see .

This is a defining game for the club. A halftime deficit, and coming out and erasing it early and getting a tough road victory.
Gotta do wonders for their confidence. Hokies are coming to Cameron, no rest for the weary.

Good win for duke for sure. But the old duke ways crept back in this contest as they shot more 3 pt shots than 2 pt shots! Not usually a recipe for March success.
