Not bad for LeBron to finish second on the list for only playing a little more than 1/2 of the decade.

Crock of shit. Kobe shouldn't have finished 1, LeBron shouldn't have finished 2.

Shaq hasn't been relavent for the last 3 years. Kobe is just now hitting his prime evident by 2 straight Finals appearences.

I think just about everybody will agree that kobe's play has regressed this year. But he should win player of the decade seeing that he was 3-4 years on lebron.

I agree with the TNT guys on this list. The fans have a really short memory. It's Shaq and it's not even close. If it wasn't for Shaq, Kobe would be watching Chris Webber and the Kings winning those titles on TV. It's doubtful that the paint will ever be dominated again like it was by Shaq.

Dirk would have been a champ too and not D-Wade.

What about if the Cavs win it with Shaq? Will Lebron get the same treatment as Kobe and D-Wade, or will it be because of Lebron?

It's a 2 way street.

^^Depends on who you ask.

I think it's pretty obvious who is the leader of the Cavs.

It's not a 2 way street. Shaq led that Laker team, clearly. That's not even up for debate, that was "his" team. D-Wade led that Miami team, especially in the Finals but without Shaq they don't win it. Without Shaq the Cavs won't win it, but they've at least been there before without him and it's definitely LeBron's team. Shaq's playing a smaller role than he did in either of the other stops. But again, no individual wins a title himself, so the whole argument is really pretty stupid. JJ Hickson could get shipped to Phoenix and if the Cavs end up the champs even he would have to get some credit for it.

I'm not debating who the leader is, it's clearly Lebron, but in Miami the leader was D-Wade as well.

I guarantee that if the CAvs win, you'll hear how Lebron can't win without Shaq. It'll be the same thing.

Oh I totally agree. What I meant was, if you ask haters they will say "LeBron can't win without Shaq." But if you ask someone unbiased, they will tell you basically what SQ said. The Heat and the Lakers would not have won titles when they did without Shaq.

the closest anybody has gotten to winning a title by themselves was the cavs making it to the finals the year they lost to the spurs.

Kobe can't win without Pau Gasol.

What do you think of that?

Jordan couldn't win without Pippen.

Shaq couldn't win without Kobe. Or D-Wade.

KG couldn't win it without Pierce and Allen.

Allen couldn't win it without Pierce and KG.

Pierce couldn't win it without KG and Allen.

See a trend?

People voted for the guys that have wowed them more recently. Shaq and then Tim Duncan...after that Kobe and LBJ are fine IMO. I'd be ok with flip-flopping Duncan and Kobe.

Also, every title team needs at least two studs. The proof is there as SQ has pointed out. Kobe and DWade wouldn't have won without Shaq. Shaq wouldn't have won without Kobe or DWade. Hell, he got swept in the Finals in Orlando with Penny and couldn't even get there with Nash and Stoudemire.

LOL, ever heard of Clyde Drexler?

And had it not been for gambling being illegal and frowned upon, Hakeem never would have won it.
