He set a new house record today for Jr bowlers with a 299 game. (that darn 10 pin)

I suck at bowling. I can guarantee that if I was looking at a 300 game, i'd throw a gutter ball on the last frame. gotta be nerve wracking.

299 is very nice indeed.
I managed a miracle 268 once just chucking it down the center, have yet to replicate it.

Not at all. I saw a 293 rolled last week. That's pretty hard.

did he get to keep the pin that wouldn't fall? That was a tradition in the house I bowled in.....if you bowled a 299 you went down the alley and got the pin left standing.
A buddy of mine that I bowled in many classic leagues with had a son who shot a 300 when he was 14...by the time he was 16, he had 2 more. The kid could crank it....swing it out over the middle arrow to the gutter and back. People would gather round just to watch the kid throw. Two years ago in his mid 20's, he won a years exemption on the PBA tour, but never did much after that.

My best is 268. I normally bowl at least 160 normally my games are in the 175-200 range though.
Congrats to your son though bowling 299 would be pretty awesome especially at 14.
