Carlin was a genius. If you brush your political and religeous views aside and actually think about what he said, he made perfect sense.

interesting to compare the Carlin era's...when he started in the early 60's on TV variety shows (although he was definitely cutting edge for the style of the day), then reinventing his image and centering himself in the counter-culture movement by the start of the 70's.
