I'm really afraid of what the NFL will be like by then.

He has the player conduct policy, which was good, but his inconsistent applications of it takes away from it a little.
Otherwise, he's a power tripping asshole.

It may be a flag football league by 2015 now. I hope the Union fights to take some of his power in the newest contract (DeMaurice Smith said they plan to before).

Not to mention all the stupid crap like playing the NFL in different countries. It's cool for pre-season but why do teams have to play regular season games in England? Now I'm hearing about starting expansion teams in Mexico and Cananda? My goodness!

I dont like playing games overseas. I think expanding the schedule is a bad idea as well.

Other than that...I think he has done a good job.

Agree! 16 games is perfect. As physical as the game is, why should players bodies get punish an addition two or more games?

Kinda funny............when the topic of commish comes up it doesnt matter what one is being discussed people say he is the worst commish of any of the sports.

Goodell is worse than tagliabu. This is a reason why I don't like him. Inconsistent on the Conduct Policy, stupid (game altering) rules, moving games to other countries (not that I don't want a game played in England, but I don't want my team to lose a home game because of it), trying to lengthen the regular season, refusing to negotiate with anyone (prefers to bully people), and the Player Conduct Policy.

Gotta realize why the Player Conduct Policy came into place.

The owners in the last CBA gave up some of their ability to punish a player for non-football related issues. There wasnt much recourse an owner could take if a guy got arrested and such.

In stepped in the commish with the Player Conduct Policy.

The bengals used to have their own player conduct clause in the contracts, but that changed and now it is the commish who does it.


Now.....some can argue the merits of not applying it evenly. Could be a case for that but we also dont know all the details behind the scenes that leads him to that issue.

For instance...Player A may get a certain punishment for a DUI. PLayer B may get more. why? Maybe Player B was already in one of the league anonymous programs for substance abuse. It isnt like performance enhancning drugs that get you a suspension on the first positive. Drugs of recreation you can be in an aftercare program before getting publicly punished/suspended.

Stop playing games overseas. Preseason is fine, but regular season games belong to the hometown fans. They only get 8 a year. You're also taking away a pay check from the stadium workers of that said home team...

I really dislike Goodell.
