Congratulations to Mr. Ed Calo and his team on winning the OCC Cardinal Divison. Still 2 conference games remaining, but they beat Westerville North tonight with an impressive 71-55 victory @ North.

With no player standing over 6'2, South seemed to have no problem with handling North who was ranked as high as 7th (I believe) in the state this year. South swept Westerville beating North and Central each two times.

Congratulations South...close out the year undefeated and good luck in the tourney!!

Best coach in Central Ohio. This season proved that.

Calo did exactly what he does every year. Won with a team who people think is no good. Congrats to Ed and the program. As an alumni, I couldn't be happier, unless Central got it done. :)

South needs to be ranked in the top 10 in the State come Tuesday, it probably won't happen unfortunately.

Ed could win this award EVERY single year and I never could disagree with it, minus 2 years ago.

I agree that's he's one of the premier coaches in Central Ohio. The only other that I would put in his class is Bisutti from Scioto.

It is too much fun to watch his teams play. He literally gets the most out of his players more than any coach I have ever seen.

I doubt South cracks the top ten unless they win both games next week and remain undfeated for the season.

Having family on the team, I can't say enough how proud I am of this team.

I would put Jeff Quackenvush of Newark in that same select catagory.

Easily top 3 are Calo, Bisutti, and Quack.

I just take Calo because year in and year out he contends with a group that no one ever gives credit to and they, more times then not, end up getting to the district finals it seems.
