Yes, he does. He plays for the love of the game, which is so hard to find in pro sports these days. And not only that, community pride.

I have always liked this guy for some reason...now I know why...very classy move...a very unselfish act that you do not hear about much anymore from pro athletes.

THAT is the way professional athletes should carry themselves. Very classiy move and not attention whoring the moment. Hat's off to him.

Guy should of went to Ohio State. He's a classy fella that'd fit in nicely with that group of young future leaders of the free world.

It's too bad he's on such a bad team and that they haven't given him a new contract. He is about the only good thing about the Browns right now. If they don't want him badly I'm sure I'm not the only Steeler fan who'd gladly have him.

But seriously, good move by Josh... makes him look good all around. I hope they extend his contract sometime soon.

I think the most impressive part about this was the fact that we are just now hearing about it. Do you ever get the feeling that some athletes do things like this only to get their name in the press? This was a very nice gesture by Cribbs.

He signed a new deal a couple seasons ago, and now he wants to renegotiate it. I think he deserves more money, and I think he will get it after the season. Thankfully he is one of the classiest people in the league, that won't let a contract dispute disrupt the entire team and his ability to play well.

Great gesture! Credit to him, his parents and coach who past away. Glad he brightened this young mans night as I'm sure he was thinking of his father.
