Wow- what would that mean for the Big 12? Not so sure I would like the Big10 to be the next ACC and steal teams from another conference, but that would be unreal. We'll see . . .

The big 12 would fall apart. The big 12 would also fall apart if Missouri left to.

Haha, NOT GONNA HAPPEN (probably). I won't say never, b/c there has been weird shit to happen before in terms of conferences, but Texas leaving all their conference rivalries, and in-state rivalries, seems way outlandish.

I posted a different article in the Pitt thread, it doesn't say anything different. It makes sense as the big 10 has most of the huge land grant universities and research universities, vet and medical universities in it already. University of Florida would be a similar match to Texas and other Big 10 universities out there.

I agree but its just weird hearing that Texas is actually talking about the possibility. But its not always about sports and their rivalries. It has to do with $$$.

I don't know if you saw an article posted a few months ago on here, but it really kinda demolishes every argument you could make in why Texas won't come to the Big 10. It was really well written.

Anyone have a link to it? I can't find it, and have an econ midterm in like 10 min.

This would be awesome! Especially if Michigan can get back to respectability, and Penn State can be consistent!

Texas might want the Big Ten to take A&M and OU to get a deal done. That would be ridiculous.
