Bengals had luck signing a retread in the middle of the season last year, I don't see this as a bad thing.

It's the year of the Cat, I say sign him. This season just has that "feel" to it.

Interesting.....he is almost exactly the same type of back as Benson. I would say that he is a good fit.

If Benson is out for a while the Bengals could really use Johnson. Well any back for that matter. This Bengals team could make some noise in the playoffs.

Not smart. First winning season in a while and the only thing odd is that there aren't a lot of naegative headlines about the players off the field. Bringing in this clown would be counter productive in my opinion. But I know what they say "just win baby"

I sent former Bengal John Thornton a "tweet" on twitter asking him if he thinks it would be smart for the Bengals to sign LJ and he actually responded to mine

This is the exact type of move that has haunted the Bengals in the past. However, when a team is 7-2, there tend to be less problems. If they did this, I would only sign him to a one year deal. I say no. On another note, Benson is reportedly going to attempt to be ready for next week's game.

I don't think they'll do it. The Bengals play the Raiders and the Browns over the next two weeks. Benson will probably see limited time over the next two weeks, but the Bengals have a capable back up who looked decent against a fast, tough defense yesterday. Plus, the Bengals are not desparate for a running game like they were last year.

he has a strained hip flexor.

I seriously doubt the Bengals go get LJ. They would sign DeDe Dorsey back before that happened.

DeDe is in the UFL. Not sure how that works if they were to sign him back on.

I really like the way Bernard Scott and Brian Leonard are running as the two main backups and they both bring something different. B. Scott is the speed guy that can break long runs and Leonard is our 3rd down back sort of like how we used Chris Perry when he was healthy with a lot of short quick shovel passes. I think we can beat Oakland w/ 10-15 carries from Benson and B. Scott & Leonard the rest of the way. Glad we got the Raiders, Browns and Lions the next three games to hopefully get healthy!

As a Bengals fan I like the move. Larry Johnson is a very talented guy who runs hard and was just in a bad situation in Kansas City. I don't think he can be a top 10 RB or anything, but for him to take some carries at the prorated league minimum I think is a huge bargain. This years Bengals team has a few cast-offs from other teams so why not one more? If he can keep his head on straight which I don't think will be a problem this could end up being a huge pick-up.
