If something is "Free" does it mean you have to do it or have to have it? For instance, there is a thread on here about Denny's offering a Free Grand Slam breakfast meal today till 2pm. And if the Cleveland Cavaliers score over 100 pts Taco Bell gives you a Free chalupa.

How often do you feel compelled to capitalize on "Free" stuff?

If it's something I might buy anyway, and reasonably convenient, sure. Otherwise I'll pass. Basic math tells me that, for example, to sit in line for several hours for a pizza or tank of gas isn't a good investment.

if it's in front of me and its free I will take it, but I wont go out of my way to get something free (like the Denny's breakfast)

I hate Taco Bell so I've never capitalized on that deal. I really have no idea how often...it just depends on what's being offered. I don't take the free stuff if I truly don't want/need it.

I'd say that it depends on how far away the establishment is, that is offering said free stuff.

Anything free from Denny's or Taco Bell is not worth the drive time.
Nothing of value is free and nothing given away as free is really free
