I would rather a guy spend his money on something other than flowers (they die and then you're stuck cleaning the vase) but I wouldn't be pissed if he got them for me. I would dry them and make a shadow box or something similar instead of just throwing them away. Then it would be a decoration/reminder of that time.

I get why girls like them, and she doesn't ask for them often, so I'm ok with buying them...just why the hell are they so damn expensive? Are they that price year round or do they just shoot up this time of year? I didn't even buy roses.

Ironic that the 2 ads I'm getting for this page are ProFlowers and Teleflora.

it's not ironic at all...the ads are based on the topics being discussed for the most part

Guess I never really noticed that.

I think flowers are only good when they are unexpected.

If you really wanna get her..have the flower company throw in a fake rose with the dozen roses..and a note that says you will love her til the last rose dies! Hence the fake one..it will never die..worked great for me. LMAO Was a good night indeed. Lol

I hate buying flowers, I did a victoria secret gift card, teddy bear, and a huge card. Now I just have to find a way to stash it before bed Saturday night so she wakes up to it Sunday.

Only paid 30 bucks for a dozen roses. Decided to throw in a little victoria secret and a movie with the money I saved.

Last year my wife was the only one in her office who had flowers for V-Day delivered to the office. (25-30 women in the office) Needless to say, my weekend was pretty damned good.

One recommendation I have is to call/go directly to a local florist. I find you save a decent amount of money that way.

I'm not a big fan, but they're nice every once in awhile and especially if they're completely unexpected.
