The Camera wasn't on Kim Kardashian the whole game nor did they do a lot of talking about Peyton Manning playing his Dad's old team. They just focused on THE GAME.

They aren't a tabloid like FOX is, so it's not surprising. CBS is usually pretty good when it comes to not focusing on the sideshows
(exception maybe being Lundquist with Tebow, but CBS has a contract with the SEC so of course they're going to hype the conference)

agreed...the coverage was solid...and the pregame (for the most part), informative without being sentimentally pandering or redundantly boring. Of course, there will always be those "Tebow" moments, but all-in-all...not bad.
By the way...the replay angle of the reversed two-point conversion for the Saints was exactly the kind of play that on-field review is made for.

Killdeer, I agree. I was able to tell the first time they showed it from the side that it should have counted.

The only fault I have is that I think CBS pushes themselves with all their promos and I think the who was chosen becuase dont they do alot of the music for csi now

I agree, they could have touched on a lot of the side shows, but stayed with the game. Almost as big of a celebrity couple is Kendra and Hank Baskett, and I believe she was at the game as well. If Fox had this game, we probably would have missed a few plays.

Totally agreed. I was worried they would talk about the two K words....Kim K and Katrina alot.

the numbers reported show that the game passed the finale of M*A*S*H as the most watched program ever... with Nielson estimating 106.5 million watching on Sunday.

but I bet it didnt match the market share...meaning...a higher percentage of people in America were watching MASH than the SB.....
and I head on the radio yesterday....that Indy market was like 6-7th most watched market.....lower than two markets in Tennessee.

It will definitely give CBS, or whomever is broadcasting next year, some data to jack their advertising rates to even more astronomical numbers.

couple more numbers...
approx. 77% of homes with TV's were watching M*A*S*H in 1983 compared with 68% for this year's Super Bowl.
New Orleans was the highest rated market, followed by (snowed-in?) Washington DC.

I found it odd that Indy wasnt the second most watched market in terms of TVs % tuned in.......
Tennessee had two markets..where PM went to college.
