Old dad had a cabin outside of Snowtrails for a time about 10 yrs ago. I can't ski for shit but I can tube with the best of them.
If I was you I would head to WVA or Penns if you are a decent skier as I don't think the slopes in Ohio are that great, I could be wrong though.

MRM may blow, but it is much better than snow trails

MRM is my favorite of the two. However, if you are looking for a decent skiing experience, it is well worth the added drive to Northern Michigan or West Virginia if you have a long weekend.

I can make MRM in a tad over 30 minutes. Some good times at that place!

MRM. Way bigger, and at least twice as many runs.

Snowtrails before they made that tube run. But does it really matter? They both suck, go to the one that is closer or take a trip to some real mountains ,its skiing in Ohio for crying out loud. A somewhat advanced skiier?? wtf does that even mean? Advanced in Ohio? Have you seen any ski videos? Those guys are advanced.
