Was just asked on PTI on whether the Crosby/Ovechkin rivalry is the best in sports right now and I am thinking it is. Tell me why I'm wrong!

I'd put this on the Pro Sports forum but I didn't think it would generate enough of a discussion over there

Federer/Nadal, because that's an individual sport rather than a team sport.

Don't get me wrong, Pens/Caps is a good one, but I'll take the sport where the whole outcome of the game rests on the individual.

Exactly what I was going to say. Federer and Nadal is the best individual rivalry because they are up against each other the whole time no teammates to help them out.

sorry, i was mislead by the original example of crosby and ovechkin, who both play team sports

It can be either a team sport or individual sport. At least that is how it was asked on PTI

1. Peyton Manning v. Tom Brady
2. Alexander Ovechkin v. Sidney Crosby

Individual Sports:
1. Roger Federer v. Raphael Nadal
2. Brock Lesnar v. Frank Mir (had to put an MMA one on the list, and this is the best one I could come up with).
