I know it's a little over 2 months away but I am starting to get geared up for Spring Turkey Season. I stopped counting at 150 when I saw all the turkeys in the field by my spot just the other day.

I am looking to pick up some new decoys, any suggestions?

I have considered it but I don't think I can be quiet enough. I see them all the time and they would make a tasty dinner thats for sure.

I went hard core on this about 2 years ago. if it was't hard enough already, I am attempting to use a cross bow.

How is wild turkey (not the whisky)? I heard it has a lot more dark meat than domesticated turkey.. which is perfect for me b/c I love the dark meat.

I've only hit 1 in the past and only made jerky with it, so I'm not sure. I mean, I didn't really pay attention to the amounts of different meat.

planning on going for the first time this year. I have never hunted but have a friend who is going to mentor me for the next year or so and show me the ropes. very excited.

Turkey jerky?..........The only turkey I've ever hunted is around 12 noon every Thankgiving. I know right where to find it too....I just look in the oven.
