The email I got said the game was "postponed to 2/8/10". If they are moving the game up, wouldn't that be "preponing"? I'm just asking.

not crazy about this "preponement" . (tho i certainly understand it from the school's standpoint. Another cancellation would mean trying to reschedule a third game in the next 2 weeks) My schedule is essentially built around the Hiland basketball games. when they get changed it throws a major wrench in the work schedule. When the get "preponed" on the day of the game, it's a real pain. Not sure if I can even make it to the game tonite.

I bet they will hear complaints from folks who have season tickets since those tickets are pre-paid and won't be able to be used due to the quick change of schedule. But I understand the schools' issues too. From the sound of it, there won't be any games tomorrow night. It's bad when you have regular season games after/during a sectional.

The IVC is facing the rescheduling of two straight complete rounds of play in the final few weeks of the season. This storm will also likely cause the cancellation of wednesdays girls games as well. I sure there will be lots of scheduling acrobatics in order to attempt to get these games played before the tourney.

it stinks but there's nothing you can do about it. First game I'll miss in several years.

Hiland/CV got their game in last nite. (Hiland won by 25 or so). (Thanks to a last minute bail out by a partner, I was able to make it to the game--thanks Bill!)
I'm sure the other games are all/will be cancelled--making a re-scheduling mega-mess, with sectionals just a few weeks down the road. (And more importantly--it's been a Pickem Director's nightmare, trying to keep track of all these stupid cancellations! I may just have to declare myself the winner and be done with it!)

Ricola - I'm glad you were able to make it. my mom called me about 1130 to ask if I'd want to come home for it :)

Have the Malvern and SV games been played? I have the Hiland and Garaway scores, but need the others.
