I don't see a lot of movies in the theaters, but since I'm snowed in this weekend I thought I'd check a few out.

Interested in seeing if District 9 is any good. I think I'll finally get around to watching Gran Torino as well.

Please don't post any spoilers. Are there any other suggestions out there. I like about anything other than romantic comedies. Love suspense, horror, historic movies especially.

Gran Torino is very good. Taken is a good suspense type movie. Hurt Locker was good. Hangover if you haven't seen it.

"A Time to Kill". Watched it last night on TV. An older movie around 1997 or so but very good. Matthew McConahey (sp?). Sandra Bullock, Keiffer Sutherland, Kevin Spacey, Donald Sutherland, Samuel L. Jackson.

One of the best if you can find it.

I had my fiancee bump that to the top of the Netflix queue. I haven't seen it yet, but everyone I talk to says it's really funny.

I watched District 9 for the first time the other night and I must say I liked it. It was definitely a different kind of flick.

Zombieland and Gran Torino are both solid choices.

So disappointed in my Netflix, was supposed to get this yesterday and another movie today. Neither came. Can't be too aggravated, they can't control the weather.

Echoing other sentiments, can't go wrong with D9 or Gran Torino.

Zombieland finally arrived this week, great, fun movie. Not going to win any awards but a good way to spend 90 minutes. I'm not going to post a spoiler but it had one of the most surreal, hilarious moments of any movie I've seen lately.

An old one, but City of God.

Probably the best organized crime film of all time. Including better than Godfather and Scarface. Plus it's on Netflix Instant.

Dude, you guys have great taste in movies.

Almost all of the ones mentioned are great, and I'm glad someone dropped A Time To Kill, I love that movie. However, I don't know if there's a newer version of the DVD out, if so, I need to buy it. The one I have now is so old that it has to be flipped over midway through the movie.

For newer releases, also check out "Moon". It is a pure sci-fi flick that is an interesting story presented very well. It got great reviews, and I'm not sure I'd agree that the "greatness" warranted the appreciation, but it is DEFINITELY a good rental.

Yeah, I love A Time to Kill. It was before McConaughey started taking his shirt off in every scene he is in. It was the first movie I DVRd when I got DVR. Watch it about once every other month or so.

Taken is the best of the list for renting imo.
