Ok, so the MSM continues their assault on the Palin's. They are now alleging that Todd Palin was a "shadow governor" to his wife Sarah?

What I don't get is the media and the left's obsession in destroying these people. Sarah lost, stepped down from her role as governor and will be doing the talk show circuit.

Also, why is the MSM not investigating politicians on the left? If it were not for the National Enquirer and Fox News, John Edwards affair and love child would have never been discovered.

So people on here have a problem with a news organization doing a public records request on a potential future presidential candidate's family member? Where were all of you at back when Bill and Hillary were being vetted? That's right that's different.

Who is this "media" fellow you are referring to? What is "equal and fair", is this something you get to decide? I know lets set up a bi-partisan committee to decide then you might be happy.

Bottom line you run for political office you open yourself up to scrutiny. I am not sure that's its fair but that's the way it is. Most people bounce things off their spouse, I have no problem with that at all. I am interested in learning how much influence Todd Palin had while his spouse was the governor and I think it is fair to find out especially with all the controversy that surround the Palins.

For the record, I did not have a problem with the investigations with the Clinton's either.

Even you should no the difference between a public records request from the time she was governor and the present. Don't see the harm unless you think the Palin's have something to hide.

Palin is a front runner to run for president. The question now is will she run on the Republican ticket or the Tea Party ticket.

What I think is, that the left doesn't take sarah palin seriously, which is probably a mistake. They think, "if she's the icon for this movement", how could we ever lose...They think she's a hack but what she may lack in pure policy knowledge, she makes up for in that a lot of Americans feel like they can identify with her and that's as important as anything in politics.

I don't think it's that the left is "threatened" by Sarah Palin and what she represents...but that they ought to be threatened and that villifying her will only make her threat more substantial.

People are buying what she's sellin and the left ought to take notice.

If we're talking strictly on what she brings to the table as far as actual ideas go, she is absolutely nothing special.

^Totally agree with you on Congressman Ryan. I don't know, maybe he just doesn't have that populist pizazz? I mean the guy seems perfectly happy to sit around and read through budgets all day long. Not the same appeal as being a hockey mom with a whiny voice I suppose.

I don't disagree necessarily. However, one only needs to look as far as the current occupant of the Big Chair to see that's what sells these days in politics.

Yes, she's not saying anything new. But what matters is that she connects with people...love her or hate her, she has a charisma that can't be denied. She's Reagan with boobs...those who are old enough to remember his style will see the similarity immediately.

She could never get elected as POTUS. She could, however, deflect enough attention away from another candidate and get them elected. I think her purpose is to stir the pot, get the conservative movement going again, and flush out a "true candidate". The damn media is so fascinated with her that they'll try to convince themselves and everyone else that she wants to run in 2012, and then try to tear her down. Congressman Ryan is on his way.

I thought there is no way in hell Obama would even get the democratic nomination, much less win the presidency, but it proves how stupid the american people are. So never, say "never".

President Obama has made some very difficult decisions. He said that we would be changing things. The people who voted for him wanted the country to head in a different direction. He has been doing this, in spite of ferocious conservative criticism, which often times had nothing to do with his actual policies but had to do with his citizenship, his religion, his actual race, the attractiveness of his wife, and anything else that would divert attention away from anything that he did that seemed to suggest recovery from the disaster he had to start with. Now, although the problems have not been eliminated, they have, to some degree, been made less ominous and there are signs that the country is perhaps beginning to extract itself from the economic mess of a while ago. Obama is still well ahead in the popularity race nationwide. If the economy continues to come around and more people find work and the light at the end of the tunnel gets brighter, he will be re-elected comfortably. I think this is the fear of the conservatives. What if their best shot was withstood and the country is rebounding? I don't fear the threat of Sarah Palin. And for the huddler who said that she is simply a private citizen and isn't running for any office,,,I beg to differ. I think every time she speaks somewhere, she pictures herself as a candidate. I also think that as long as she does, it isn't anything to fear. It's something that most moderates and liberals welcome.
