The people who constantly mocked Bush for his pronunciation (though it was pretty bad and nucular was hilarious) were stupid and childish just like you are for bringing up one of the few times the current president does screw up a word.

Bush wasn't a bad president because of the way he pronounced things and Obama isn't a good or bad president because of a verbal gaffe either.

Come on pants. I doubt writer thinks Obama is a bad president because of his verbal gaffes. There are many other reasons. But you got to admit it is quite hilarious. Corpsman are medical specialist in the navy. To mispronounce it "corpse-man" in kind of ironic.

I was forced to listen to Rush Limbaugh yesterday while riding home from a meeting with some colleagues. He was droning on and on about this. It was intolerable...as if he has never mispronounced a word before. You give enough speeches, you are going to make some mistakes.

Seriously. Look at all of the things the people on the right could criticize or president for right now....and you are choosing this?

Childish and petty. Just as it was when the far left was demonizing Bush about his speaking.

Of course Obama gets a pass from the generall media on something like this. The point is not that this is a crime or something so awful. It is the unequal treatment, that's all. By the way, this can be fixed by putting some phonetic assistance on the teleprompter to help him out. Might cost a little money but there's enough federal stimulus money for any worthy cause.

I agree, but you have to admit it isn't as if anyone on the Left gave W a pass on this, contrary to his supporters Obama is subject to as many cheap shots as any other elected official.

But again I agree, the abysmal economy and employment numbers should be more of a concern at this point.

Just more proof of how this man was selected to serve and not elected. He was selected from 2 complete idiots to run this country, and we have both parties to thanks for that.

And I have no problem with the right pointing this out. The left plays the game this way all the time. No more Mr Niceguys from the right......let 'em have it, because if it were reversed, the talking heads on the left would have it front page news 24/7. Deal with it people.

It's just funny to think how a person can rise all the way to Commander and Chief and not even know how pronounce that word. I didn't hear it...did he correct himself right after and pronounce it right or just keep going after pronouncing it wrong?

Ha ha, trash on me all you like -- but the blatant HYPOCRISY of the left on this issue is why I posted it. Along with all the ridiculous hype that surrounded this guy about how he's the most intelligent president -- EVAH -- and best orator since Lincoln.

Plus, a Commander In Chief not knowing how to pronounce the name of the most basic of military personnel is just too delicious to pass up. I mean, seriously, how can you NOT know how to pronounce this properly?

It's a bit mind boggling and makes for some decent entertainment. :)

I didn't mean to insinuate that he did, I was just making the point before it happened. There are plenty of good reasons to complain about Obama for anyone to really focus on something so small.

And yes, it is funny.

I just looked over my post and I guess I was insinuating that, or rather I plainly stated it which was stupid and childish of me, oh well. My bad.
