With the depth of pitching that is being created down in Cincy Arroyo should be the one to go.

Arroyo. BP is the heart of this team, if there is one.

OK maybe not the heart, but he needs to be back.

Arroyo just one shoulder tweak or head tweak away from a mediocre season...
Phillips needs to stay.

They can't trade Phillips. I would say that he is the heart of the team.

Aren't those commercials terrible? As for the question, I think it's obvious that Arroyo would be the one to go if it came down to these two.

Arroyo obviously, but I think I'd try and trade Harang before Arroyo. Harang has been hurt the last few years and you know rxactly what you're going to get from Arroyo. But I guess that's what makes him better trade bait.

Those commercials would win on VHI's Awesomely bad commercials of all time special...if they should make one

Id say Arroyo trade if htey had to. MIght get out of him with the right team.

BP can be productive for a long time yet. BA doesnt throw hard so he could be in the league for awhile yet but id venture to say he will decline before BP will.

I would say Arroyo like most everyone else he is a good pitcher, if he can make it through the first inning or two without getting bombed.

Walt said yesterday that Phillips would not be traded, for whatever that's worth.

I'm not convinced either has to go. It is just speculation based on the fact that the Reds are probably going to have the same or slightly smaller budget than last year.

Marty said on the Hot Stove League that Chris Heisey is listed #1 in LF on the organizational depth chart. If that is true, that may mean Gomes will not return and that in itself could be enough projected savings as Gomes is going to get around $3 million in arbitration.
