I am a self-proclaimed knucklehead, but the posts on this site are flat out weak lately, especially this recent case of "gay" posts. How many middle school kids are on this site again?

I was thinking over this weekend how bad some of these threads are. All the gay and penis threads everywhere, what the heck is wrong with everyone?

Now, ask me in 2 days, and Ill probably say yes!


I think a lot of it has to do with the "downtime" in sports. We have had the 2 weeks off of football and the college bball season is at its dullest point (the middle of conference play). But thats just my take.

I'm optimistic. I don't think it's jumped the shark, just kind of hit a lull, and will likely pick back up again. But, as of late, it's been a bit tough to sift through, and most of all, generally predictable. In and of itself, not bad, but when I can predict a juvenile joke from a mile away, it's that bad.

Prepare for the stock photos that will no doubt fill this thread up fast.

Best example:

I guessed early on, as I'm sure many did, that someone would start a third thread about some sport being "gay" to counteract the two that already existed.


And here we are. I'm surprised it took this long, though.

My thoughts exactly. Even the 'other place' had it's downtime every now and then. Would have likely had dumbass threads then too if they were allowed. Plus it seems like you get a couple posters that flood the threads and just take them downhill as well.

I do think that the site has a chance to self destruct if a select few individuals continue to do their best to try to ruin it.... they think they are being funny... but really they are just driving quality posters away.

I think there are a few who are trying to ruin the site, then there are some who are just trying to play along because they think it's funny.

Oh well.

To be honest, I started that thread because the content on the other threads is hateful, menacing and immature (pot meet kettle, right?).

If you can't make light of stupidity, then what's the sense of even posting on message board?

And for the record, I'm fed up with much of the content. However, I go along with it because if you don't....on this site....there isn't much to post about.

If you take out thre threads started by or about Sage, Snotbubbles or gay stuff....it's a pretty good site.

I don't think so, I just think a few posters have found a way to draw attention to themselves and a few others are trying to do the same. Their shtick will get old and go away eventually.

I am not leaving but it amazes me some of the trends we see. One day there are 50 different threads about dicks, next 50 different about what is gay, on and on. I love this site and it really gets me through work!

I like this site, and I respect that Justin took the steps to launch this environment, and there are several posters in this thread alone like Fab, Upper and Power i who bring a lot to this site which keeps me coming back. I am not going anyway, but I figured as a somewhat loyal contributor, I could vent about how lame the past few weeks have been ...

It hasn't "jumped the shark," but the quality of threads as significantly lowered. There is too much "trash" on here.
