Probably doesn't have the grades or test scores. This isn't the SEC where you don't even have to be able to read to go to school.

i think ware was wanting to play baseball and football and OSU (reportedly) didn't allow him to do that. I feel like he wanted to play for a good baseball team and a good football team.

This is what I have heard as well. He wanted somewhere with a solid football and baseball team. Can't do much better than LSU, maybe Texas but that isn't as much of a run oriented system.

In regards to the thread, that was a nasty hit.

Hardly. He tore it up in San Antonio with his 4.71. Ware wanted to play baseball for one of the better programs in the nation, LSU just won a national championship. And he wanted to play running back, thinking that was his best chance to make the NFL. I don't know for sure but heard from a couple of different people that OSU wanted him to play saftey.

OSU is set at RB if he wanted to play that and maybe thats why they didn't even try to recruit him hard.

Wasnt looking for that answer. I was really curious. Someone on another board said it was because Cinci area kids usually go the SEC route or ND. Wondering if that's usually the case or if OSU really didnt try hard.
