OK, just got back from a morning meeting, and I am slammed at work. I see the "OSU recruiting thread," but it's long and overly-detailed. Any chance to get a quick summary of what has gone down, and what's to come today?

Everyone who had yet to announce is going to other schools is a good way to sum it up. OSU=Signing Day Fail for this year. Hopefully they'll do a better job next year

Basically:
Moses to UVA
James to ND
Henderson(projected USC)
Anderson(going to take USC visit)
James Louis did sign LOI to OSU
That's about it.

the sky is falling, OSU will be playing in the Alamo bowl soon.
Only 2 guys left to decide are Henderson and Anderson. Henderson announces at 5:30 EST, latest reports indicate USC, but with this one I will wait until the LOI is in. Anderson is supposed to be waiting until he makes a visit to USC.

Yeah, because that's what were saying by telling BAB that OSU had a bad day in terms of finishing players on the fence...Wooball wrote: the sky is falling, OSU will be playing in the Alamo bowl soon.

Basically it's been your typical Ohio State signing day. They dont have any decommit's but they swing and miss hard on their final targets.

With the "play me now" mentality of many (if not most) of the highly touted recruits, it's not a surprise many found the grass to be greener elsewhere. OSU is pretty well stocked at most positions.

Yeah...typical like getting Pryor, the most highly touted recruit in recent memory.Tinkertrain wrote: Basically it's been your typical Ohio State signing day. They dont have any decommit's but they swing and miss hard on their final targets.

Tressel has struck out on far more big time recruits towards the end than he's landed.

So there's nothing "typical" about it then.

Ohio State is still going to win National Championships and cakewalk through the Big Ten.

That is the general vibe I have gotten from some on this board as well as posters on scout and bucknuts

This isn't surprising. Typical year in recruiting for the Buckeyes. It's an alright class. It's kind of comical now-a-days. Isn't OSU football quite predictable in many ways of the program (play calling, recruiting, etc)? It's all good, just keep winning.
