Michigan entered the season with high hopes and a preseason top 25 ranking. Harris might be an NBA player, Sims is above the average, and Beilein is a proven coach.

The Wolverines have struggled to an 11-11 overall record, a 4-6 conference record. Last night, they looked awful in a 67-52 loss to Northwestern.

They join UNC and UConn as teams that have under-achieved.

I said this last year after the season when people were saying this was going to be a top 15 team. I said no way should they ever be rated above OSU ( was laughed at and drilled on jjhuddle). They have basically two good players, but a pretty good drop off after that.
I didn't think they would do this poorly...but I didn't see a top 20 team this year either. Hope he has some recruits coming in because without Harris and Simms...this team is probably pretty bad.

Beilein got lucky at WVU. Pittsnogle had already committed when he arrived and Gansey fell in his lap with the St. Bonny debacle. With that said, he is a good coach and if he can get the Gansey and Pittsnogle type quality, he will be successful.

Well, Simms is a pussy, plain and simple. If he would play strong and go to the basket they would have an inside presence that would GREATLY improve their team. He fades away on all his shots and stays on the outside too often without driving.

Without him playing strong the open shots for Novak and Douglass have disappeared.

I thought they would be MUCH better than this. I think I had them 4th in the B10 behind MSU, Purdue and OSU. Man was I wrong, they are HORRIBLE.

Manny Harris is a talented player who is also selfish and tries to do way too much. Sims is soft, and guys like Novak and Lucas-Perry just aren't anything more than average players.

According to Sparty on JJHuddle, that Clemson win was a program change, a HUGE win. It supperceded anything OSU did last year, even thought OSU spanked them ttwice and finished higher in Big Ten.

Yeah, Sparty was fine actually. Just annoying when he, Paladin and CBF would get going on a thread and take it over completely.

lol, I wasnt blaming anyone in particular. It was just annoying because you and Sparty (at least too me) were good to have convos with. Just when you got into it it overran the thread lol.

Paladin was just ridiculous though. No one could have a reasonable conversation with him.
