I'm glad you asked, I need some input. I have planned a weekend trip to Chicago Feb. 12th-14th. I booked a Junior suite at a boutique hotel on the river a few blocks from Magnificent Mile. Champagne, roses, chocolate covered strawberries stocked in the room.

I plan on a nice dinner out on the 13th as well. Is a gift really still required since I am covering the bill for all of this?? I'm obviously not trying to be a cheap skate, just didn't know the proper etiquette.

Don't have an S.O, but if I did, nothing. Valentines Day is the biggest scam of a national holiday I've ever seen. I'd include sweetest day or whatever that day is in Ohio or something but it's not a national thing I don't think.

I have no clue what to get the hubby. Maybe just put a bow on. That's the nice thing about being a woman. We can call it a 'gift' and you're happy to ge it. If he tried to pass that off as a gift, I'd be pissed.

He has to work VD so we'll be doing any celebrating on the 13th.

also 30 days after valentine's day is steak and BJ day, so ladies (that includes you power i) no copping out on us. we don't expect anything on V-day, just like you shouldn't expect anything on Steak and BJ day.

Got tickets to the Blue Collar Comedy Tour this Friday at Nationwide but due to this raging case of pink eyes the doctor quarantined me for 10-14 days.
I have them available if anyone is interested, I paid 120 but will settle for 80. PM me if interested .

I believe it's March 20th this year. Last year it was 3/14. someone will have to google it to check.

That's also pretty sad. This should be a regular occurrence(not the steak). Guys shouldn't need a holiday. :@:P
