Say what you want about his antics, but Ochocinco is a good guy. Great story to see

Despite alot of his antics (which are entertaining at least), and the overall sense of dislike toward Chad, I have always seemed to have liked watchng him play.

It is good to see is he growing up a bit and doing things like this.

Honestly, I think Ochocinco is a great person. Yes, he may want attention but his attention isn't negative. He seems to be a very positive person and a great role model anymore. I'd love to have him in a Browns uniform.

Die hard browns fan, but my favorite player is OchoCinco...he is the man...good to hear a superstar athlete just taking 30 seconds out of his day to make someone's day that much better.

I have to agree... The things that he does for attention are not negative... he has fun while playing the game. As far as this article, it just shows that he gets it... most athletes don't give a shit about the fans... he really does and it is nice to see that. Definitely one of my favorite players in the league.

Chad has done many things I have disagreed with, and he's done many things that the common observer wouldn't probably approve of. With that said, it's obvious the guy has compassion and a heart. He obviously cares about what he's doing, and he cares about the fans. He's a normal guy like most of us, and stories like this make many of the other small things he does not matter.

I don't like Ochocinco as a player because I like very few players that aren't Steelers. But I've always thought that he was a decent guy and this was a stand up thing to do.

Of all the loud mouth and thuggish players in the NFL I have to say I think Ochocinco just talks because he has fun with it.

I follow Ocho on twitter and would love to go to the movies on him one weekend. For all his shenanigans he is really harmless.

Hines Ward opens up his home to parents visiting their kids at childrens hospital in Pittsburgh. BigBen pays for a canine unit for the police dept in every city they play in. Jeff Reed pays college tuition for a child of a military person every year. This happens all the time, they just dont take the time to get the headlines like noshow stinko does.

Does getting the headlines make the gesture any worse?

I didn't know those things about those Steelers though.

Dont get me wrong. I think what he did is great, but dont nominate him for a nobel prize just yet. This goes on all the time but gets unnoticed.

Exactly, it is the "look at me" things that athletes do where you know they are not genuine and are tiring. The things listed above by Reed, Ward and BigBen are great to hear because they are doing those things because they care and want to help and give back... same with this article. My guess would be the friend and/or family reached out to ESPN to let them know what Ochocinco did.

Good to see you are so blinded by hatred/jealousy that you can't even bother to say one nice thing.
