I haven't watched a second of it, but I did just check the box score on ESPN. It's currently halftime. Josh Cribbs has 173 return yards. Please write this guy a check.

Not surprised to see a returner put up big numbers in the pro bowl when none of those guys ever play special teams and don't really want to hit or tackle.
It does nothing to warrant him getting more money.

I agree, this game does not warrant anything. His 2500 yards and 6 touchdowns last season, however, are very deserving.

That's up for debate. He will get a new deal eventually, I just don't think it's going to be the money he thinks he deserves.

He's going to get his money. If he doesn't, he won't be a Brown anymore. It's that simple.
He's going to get his money from somebody, somewhere. However, he'll get the money he deserves soon after the Super Bowl. Something around 2.7M with incentives, IMO.

Isn't that like 3 drops for him in the game? He's so bad, it's not even funny anymore.Trueblue23 wrote: Ocho Cinco just dropped a long VY TD pass!

I don't think he's that special anymore. He's more of entertainment than a WR. Lol.

Letting him in the pro bowl just shows that nobody cares for the joke of a game that it is.Trueblue23 wrote: Ocho Cinco just dropped a long VY TD pass!

He should be set on fire along with anyone elsewho isn't a Steeler. Then the Steelers could just play with themselves every year.

Well, he'll be a Brown for at least 3 more seasons -- and after that, he'll most likely be on the downside of his career as a kick returner and special teams guy.DaBrowns41 wrote: He's going to get his money. If he doesn't, he won't be a Brown anymore. It's that simple.

Even though that's the case, I expect Holmgren and his folks will find a way to appropriately reward Cribbs for his work on the field (not in the Pro Bowl, which is a farce in too many ways).

He's under contract for 3 more years. I don't think he just "won't be a Brown anymore", he doesn't have a choice, other than to sit and burn his money.DaBrowns41 wrote: He's going to get his money. If he doesn't, he won't be a Brown anymore. It's that simple.

I know he's under contract, but we're not going to pay somebody to sit. We'd trade him, most likely, if we chose not to give him the money.sleeper wrote:He's under contract for 3 more years. It's all moot because we're going to show him the money.

I think we give him a raise, but he's not going to get the money he's asking for, not even close.

He's asking for 2-3M plus incentives. He's going to get it.

Unless you're an insider or are somebody that works within the organization, for you to say "LOL no.", just goes to show how ignorant of a fool you really are.

If they don't give him $2-3 million a year then they are idiots.

Browns fans would turn on Holmgren very quickly if Cribbs sits out/gets traded. He is currently the face of the franchise. This is very comparable to the Kosar-Belichick situation except that while Kosar was getting older, Cribbs is currently the best at what he does.
