Back when they built the 9 story Cleveland Police headquarters in 1976 they forgot one minor detail....light switches. That's right they only put in approximately 15 switches in a 9 story building according to Safety Director Martin Flask, so since 1976 when they first turned the lights on in the building the lights have never been turned off. Cost to fix this problem 34 years later - $792,000. WOW how in the hell can you build a building and not remember light switches!!! And then you wait 34 years to fix the problem...unreal!

i guess the only thing i can think is when you have a place that is mostly open 24 hours like a police department, do you really need light switches?stationrun wrote: Back when they built the 9 story Cleveland Police headquarters in 1976 they forgot one minor detail....light switches. when i was in the military there were a few buildings i worked in at all hours of the day and the only time i saw the lights off was when the power went out.
