I thought about it for a while for the first pick by the Fiesta Bowl. I could see them taking an undefeated Boise State team (bonus since Boise is closer to Arizona than Cincinnati is, plus the classic between BSU and Oklahoma). But on the other hand, I thought how could the Fiesta Bowl turn away a 12-0 Cincinnati team (obviously, I'm presently predicting them to defeat Pittsburgh)? Below is my picks if the first pick by the Fiesta Bowl is Boise State:

This is just something to discuss. I'm definitely no expert.

I don't care what team I played on, I'd be pissed if I had to play either TCU or Boise. Specifically, if I were at a big time program and I drew either of those teams in a BCS bowl. It's a NO WIN situation. Beat them, and they'll say, "yeah, could have seen that coming." Lose and it's "my god! TCU/Boise is awesome and (your team) really must suck bad!"

I actually feel the same way cleveland_buck does...

I would rather that Boise State and TCU don't play one another, it would make for more interesting viewing if each team played an Alabama, etc..... Just my opinion.

Boise State will be in as a second non-BCS school if they win out. You guys can take Oklahoma State/Iowa off of your predictions. USC loss last night made it almost a certainty that both TCU and BSU will play in a BCS game.

If GT or Texas are upset in conference championship games, it would change a lot.

Oregon ends the season with 2 tough games at Arizona next week and then against Oregon State so if their is one team who is sitting pretty in the Pac10, its Stanford.

if that GT/Oklahoma St. matchup happens it could be an interesting one.

Looking at the rankings, those are my picks. Wouldn't surprise me to see TCU go to the Fiesta and Boise to the Sugar because they travel well and would match up better with Alabama and it would, in my opinion be a more entertaining game... I am not sold on TCU yet and think that Cincinnati will beat Pittsburgh.

This will leave out two loss teams such as Pittsburgh, Iowa and Penn State, and LSU gets left out by default with the two SEC teams in.... but... if TCU and Boise win out and are undefeated, and in the top five in the BCS, you can't leave them out. I think this year to non-BCS schools get in.

USC will finish in the top 14 if they win out, which means I would put them in over Oklahoma State. Still don't think Boise State gets in. In this economy, the bowls with the big names are going to have a hard enough time selling tickets and tv ads. They can't afford to take Boise this year.

jspitaleri.....Pittsburgh is not a 2-loss team. They are 9-1. Unless you are assuming that they lose to Cincinnati for the Big East championship.

Others....I do not think it's fair to say that TCU and Boise will be excluded entirely from BCS births. They will both likely be undefeated and ranked in the top 5. That's garbage if they take Iowa or OK State over them. Iowa completed choked against a very average Northwestern team and should have lost by more to OSU. It happened in years past and will happen again this year when David is given a chance to take down Goliath.....Boise and TCU will be in.

TCU will be guaranteed a spot as the highest ranked mid major. Boise State would have to be picked over teams with bigger names, higher ratings, and more travelling fans.

If Georgia Tech loses to Clemson (Should Clemson beat Virginia) and/or Cincinnati loses to Pittsburgh would eliminate the other spot for either TCU/Boise.

I think Boise would get picked over Cincy. The Orange Bowl last year was one of the few BCS games rated lower than the Boise State/Oklahoma Fiesta Bowl.

I wasnt looking to see that I have 3 SEC teams going to BCS games.

Alabama impressed me with their win Saturday night, should be a classic them against Florida and at this point I am leaning toward Alabama for the victory

Things could be interesting with both TCU and BSU likely going unbeaten, I don't think the Big East or the ACC will get two BCS spots regardless of who wins those games. In any other year, Cincinnati would be a shoe in, but this isn't any other year.

You gotta wonder how much handwringing would take place amongst Alabama fans should the Crimson Tide be matched against TCU or BSU! After getting shot down by Utah last bowl season, another loss to a non BCS conference school would be "eye-opening"!
