a robot

Read it in the paper today. PETA says it is cruel to subject the groundhog to all those people and the bright lights.

The head GH honcho responds the GH is treated better than most kids around the country.

What will PETA think of nxt?

A robot groundhog? For some reason I feel like watching old episodes of Futurama.

Give me a break. That groundhog is probably the most pampered groundhog in the world. PETA needs a reality check.

Did you know that there are more kids in this country that have a pet than those that have a father?

Extremist wackos often set back their cause more than any real or perceived enemy ever could.

Animals should not be abused. These people grab that common sense concept and destroy it by taking it a few hundred steps too far.

Exactly, this is why when PETA has a LEGIT gripe, most people just roll their eyes. Because of moronic stuff like this.

They don't have very many legit gripes. The MAJORITY of their stuff is just Appeal to emotion and appeal to nature fallacies.

I've learned that a lot of them are just appeal to nature fallacies that most people don't understand. In learning the psychology, anatomy, etc of animals, a lot of stuff that they call "cruel" really isn't. It's the appeal to nature fallacy because they present it as "cruel" because it doesn't happen naturally, therefore many people who don't understand what is going on see it as being true.

Not that I'm a fan of figure skating or Weir or anything... but I read some yahoo article the other day that PETA was protesting his costume. Apparently it has a fox pelt or something like that as part of it.

His response was great.

There are more important things happening (paraphrase) "There are humans dying every day. There are thousands, if not millions, of homeless people in New York City. Look at what just happened in Haiti."

When you get owned by a male figure skater, you know your organization is pathetic.

Went to the OSU-PSU game at Happy Valley back in 1997, got absolutely hammered with my crew, and stupidly let my drunk girlfriend at the time attempt to drive us back to Columbus. We ultimately decided (2 hours later or so) that it was a bad idea, and rolled her shitty car into some bed and breakfast in some podunk Pennsylvania town. When we woke up, we realized we were in Punxatawny, and there were postcards of that rodent everywhere, and he even has this glass covered hangout in the town square, it was as comical as it was sad ...

All of these people should just tell PETA to fuck off, then maybe they'll go away for good.

HaHa..PETA is crazy. They requested that UGA the bulldog not have to sit on the sidelines anymore for the ball games. That dog probably loves goin to the game....

I'm all for PETA b/c I'm a big animal rights person, and I'm glad there is an organization that fights for animals rights. For the most part animals are treated like shit all over the world, so God knows we need people to look out for them, but in the instances of PUX and UGA those animals are probably very well cared for.

But, I'll take the good w/ the bad from PETA.
