Notre Dame is in a pretty good position for Matt James. He really liked Notre Dame on his visits and is a big fan of Kelly.

I just sent Derek Roback a facebook message hahahahahah telling him Toledo is a horrible school and he'd be better off going to Notre Dame. Coach Kelly can mail me my check.

In all seriousness, once I read his status was "just got offered a full ride scholarship to the University of Notre Dame. Wow," I was pretty sure he'd be making the switch. It's really not a hard decision. Notre Dame > Toledo.

I've heard OSU may offer if Hicks goes to Texas. He would then be a Buckeye.

I sure hope you didn't or don't currently attend Notre Dame. Why wouldn't you? OSU has actually won a bowl game in the past 20 years, and no I don't count beat a hapless depleted 6-6 WAC team as a bowl win.rock_knutne wrote:James? Roback is a very good athlete and could be a good sleeper pick up for ND. I saw him play all 4 years of high school, he played in a poor conference and other than his freshman year played on a very poor team. Battled alot of injuries his junior and senior year but when he was on the field you could tell he has the potential to be a solid player at the college level. He could play just about any position for the Irish, I don't think he could make it as a qb (what they recruited him as) but you never know. could also be a good slot wr, te, saftey, or if he puts on some weight he could turn out to be a solid olb.

Agreed. Did you see the article written in the South Bend Tribune. St. X Coach Steve Specht made a big effort in getting ND interested in UC commit Luke Massa, even after Brian Kelly was hesistant to go there. let's see here--an offer from Toledo,then all of a sudded one from Notre Dame--something's not quite right here...one thing's for sure,though-it's not as much of a gap as it would have been had he been offered by OU first,and then offered by ND

Yes he was..... Considering I know one of his HS coach's (who happens to be his father) and the fact that on scout.com the ND insiders have said he was told he will have a shot at QB.
