Well for the first time since January of 2006 the Heels are on the outside looking in and deservedly so. I really do think they will get it together and be back on the inside here soon.
Kentucky sits atop both, again deservedly so. They are the best team in the country and when they play to their ability, no one should beat them. I didn't really buy into them in the offseason, but I have been impressed thus far. We all know about Wall, but to me the reason this team is where it is is because of the play of Patrick Patterson and DeMarcus Cousins.
Both Polls

Interesting to see the Cats back on top and Carolina out of the poll completely. UK has suffered through some tough times the last few years, but with the arrival of Calipari and his amazing recruiting class, things are looking up in Lexington. On the other hand, Carolina, who has been extremely consistent since Roy Williams came home, is now the team who is struggling.
I've been saying for the last few weeks that I'll probably be surprised if UK doesn't go undefeated during the regular season. They still have tough games with Vandy, Ole Miss, and Tennessee at home, plus road tests at Vandy and Tennessee, but if they continue to play the way they have been, it will take a monumental effort by those teams to beat the Cats. There's always the chance that they'll have an off night and lose at least one of those games, especially on the road, but they've passed every test to this point.
When looking at Carolina, I'm not sure what to expect. They travel to NC State tomorrow night to face the Pack, who just beat Duke at home and then got hammered on the road by Maryland. If Carolina wins tomorrow, they may get headed in the right direction. However, if they don't win, things are going to get pretty ugly, I'm afraid. I'm obviously hoping to see the Heels get things turned around, because even with three losses early in conference play, they're really not out of the ACC race due to the craziness that has happened so far.

The Bucks go 1-1 on the week and raise in the polls.

You had some teams lose in front of them and its not like a Pac 10 team will make it back into the polls this season.johngrizzly wrote: The Bucks go 1-1 on the week and raise in the polls.

They lost to a really good team on the road, that is basically the same as a win in the mind of some voters.CinciX12 wrote:Uhh, yeah, they did. OSU didnt deserve to drop. But I still remember people pissed when they dropped earlier in the year saying the voters just didnt like them, lol.
I guess that wasnt true.
