I thought it was really, really, reeeeeeally slow and had a lousy climax. I only kept watching because I thought something interesting was going to happen. But it never did. I give it a 3.

I'm with the Fat Hobbit on this one. Was too slow, thought something great would happen...never really did. Overrated movie IMO.

watched a Jesse James documentary I think on the history channel and there are a lot of conspiracy theorists out there who believe that he wasn't killed...

There's basically conspiracy theories for every assassination, and Jesse James' assassination is no different, however this particular conspiracy theory is pretty widely known to be completely ridiculous (as most of them are). Jesse James was assassinated by Bob Ford, there is no conspiracy.

As I think about it, it was kind of overrated. I think the fact I enjoyed it is more a reflection of how few truly original quality films come out these days.

I think so too, but the other side didn't come off as completely ridiculous as you make it sound...I didn't buy it, but it wasn't as far fetched as some other conspiracy theories

Under 5, which means it wasn't that great. I was disappointed big time, it was too damn boring.

I gave it a 7. . . Brad Pitt's scenes are pretty good, but overall the movie moves too slow.

Oh they're definitely plausible, no doubt. I think it's just a generally well known fact that Ford killed JJ. People can speculate all they want about it, and it may sound legit, but in the end, it's clearly not.

If you don't enjoy history you probably wouldn't like that movie. I enjoy history so the slow moving plot line didn't bother me at all. I'd give it an 8 out of 10.

I think its Jim Gaffigan who makes fun of people who bring up old movies.

"What did you guys think of the movie HEAT?"

"Thats like ten years old"

Freak.

It was slow, but I thought it was very well done with a unique and interesting take on a famous story(really it was the book's take that the film is based on.) Great acting as well.

lol at the people saying they were "expecting something more" for an ending. It's a true story, Jesse James gets killed by Bob Ford, Ford gets killed by some random guy years later. Were you expecting Brad Pitt to turn into Tyler Durden and reveal Bob Ford was just his split personality?

Now that you mention it, Raging Bull sucks too. I thought Jake Lamotta only got fat to make a run at the HW title, then he didn't. Was expecting something more, Scorcese is a hack.

I watch this movie almost everytime it comes on.I like how it pulls you into the story. It's as if I never want it to end.If you pay attention to the music for this film that it played along with it at times,it has a definate hint of Kurt Kobain.Very mesmerizing
