I'd bet that another Hinton comes down from Marion and takes over.

If they dont pass that levy in May I doubt that. They are looking at a $500 per sport pay to participate fee. That will keep a lot of coaches away, IMO!

Officially? Today I do believe. He's now the coach at Chillicothe.

I do not believe that Heath would leave Marion to come back to Amanda. I like to see it but it's unlikely. I could see Scott Hinton coming in if they want to stay that route. I would love to see them go that route if for nothing else to have someone who is fimilar with the program. Helping keep many of the same traditions in place.

Scott Hinton that coached at Madison Plains?
Where has he coached since leaving there?
I think Cory Black may be the next coach.
With the Levy they will not bring in a new teacher/coach
Ron was retired no opening.

Re: Preacher
Kenny Hinton coached at Madison Plains and likely will never coach again due to that situation (at least in K-12 levels).
Scott is an assistant at Alexander (cousin of Kenny and Heath, who are also cousins, nephew of Ron).
With the funding problems at the school, they will probably have to hire someone either already on staff or someone who doesn't need a teaching position.

Its sad that this levy could leave the Amanda football program in ashes. If it fails look for many football players moving in with relatives in other school districts. That's reality.

I don't know if current assistant Nathan Cotton wants the job, but if he does, he should be your man. He was an assistant coach at Marion Pleasant on our state runner-up and state championship teams in 2001 and 2002, and he's been on the staff at Amanda since 2004. Nathan is extremely smart, and the kids who play for him have always loved him. Whether the levy passes or not, AC will be fine as long as they get a guy who understands the program and its rich tradition. Good luck.
