What contenders need to make a deal to put them over the top?

I think the Lakers need to add some solid bench help.
I think the Cavs need to add a 4 man.
I think the Celtics need to murder Rajon Rondo.
I think the Magic need to undo what they did in the offseason.

Seeing as the Cavs season was over in November, I doubt they make a move.

^^This is true. Maybe they could help the Celtics out by murdering Rondo.

I think the Cavs need to add another scoring option to their frontcourt. Jamison, West and Murphy are the names that are being floated around right now. A strecth PF that can create his own shot and stretch the floor would do wonders for this team.

What would the Cavs have to give up to get any of those guys?

Any of the 3 really improves the Cavs.

Basically to get any of the 3 the Cavs will need to float Z and JJ Hickson out.

Z will be bought out on almost any deal and rejoin the cavs 30 days later. So basically it turns out being JJ Hickson for David West, Troy Murphy and Jamison.

No legs to any of the stories, but RCF has the Cavs tied to Jamison, Iguodala, Tyrus Thomas, and a few others.

Sounds like Jamison is the #1 target right now. I think Windy said that Ferry has been busy working the phones but isnt that close on anything.

The Jamison deal would be the most logical move for both parties. The wizards seem dead set on blowing that team up and starting again, the Butler, Jamison, Arenas idea never really worked out. JJ and Z would have to be packaged unless Ernie Grunfeld is interested in trading something for nothing because Big Z is a lock to be bought out and back with the Cavs after 30 days in the event of a trade. I am never a big fan of giving up a promising young guy like Hickson, but thats a move that would clearly make the Cavs a much better team

Never understood why they traded Camby away and never really got another big man(in any other deal/FA signage). I know it was to save money, but still. Birdman, K-Mart and Nene are their front[/php]court and need some more length. They have to be one of the smallest teams in the league(after Houston but Yao is hurt and makes alot of money). They have one 7 footer and he barely plays.

Cleveland needs to make two moves.

1) Jamison

2) Bench guard help with Mo and West being injured/out. West's trial is coming up.

Wow, the Celtics need to murder Rondo?? Really, Rondo has been the most consistent player on the Celtics this year. He has played at All-Star level. They just need to get KG & Marquis Daniels back soon. With them to out and Rasheed out for 10 days we had to have Scal start at PF a few games. There have been talks of Boston going after Nate Robinson to backup Rondo, but that is all I've heard on Boston's end.

Need? Really...because you just made a thread after they LOST to the Cavs about how they'd win the NBA title...now they need another great player? How stacked does that roster have to be for Kobe to win it?

How many moves, trades etc have the Cavs made to try and get Lebron a Ring??
Kobe already has 4 so he has proved he can win.

Kobe got to sit on Shaq's lap for 3 of them, then shit down his leg for years until they stacked the team again--LeBron has still never played on a team as loaded as the Laker team they beat last night. But as usual, you're missing the point.

Yeah during that 3 year Championship run Kobe averaged in the Playoffs :

25.2 ppg (2nd on team)

5.7 assists per game (led team)

5.0 rebounds per game (2nd on team)

Not to mention the Defense Kobe played in those runs.

1.6 steals per game (led team)

Shaq doesn't win any in LA without Kobe.
