I really hope this is true OneBuckeye!!!!OneBuckeye wrote: Someone on buckeyeplanet.com says Braxton Miller will commit in the early summer and wants to recruit hard for OSU in the 2011 class. This would be great because we do not have a commit this year that really gets into recruiting other players and it has hurt us IMO. Florida has a few outgoing guys that get after it and it has paid off for them. Brewster also did it for us in his recruiting class.
I've heard his videos don't do him justice. . .

Miller will basically be handed the QB spot in his RS Freshman season if he decides to be a Buckeyes.
Pryor will be in his last year and Miller will get a full season to develop before being the QB.

Hopefully Tressel can fill out the rest of the current recruiting class, and haul in a mammoth one next year so Miller will have something to work with.

^ You are correct Devil. There was some concern with his camp with Pryors development after the Purdue game, and there were rumors that he was seriously looking around and will be watching Pryors development last year and this upcoming year and that will have a big impact on his decision. However Pryors play at the end of the season I think has put that to bed. Now there are rumors that Trey Depriest really likes Bama and could sway Miller into looking very hard down there... although Miller may have the same sway with DePriest lookcoming to tOSU. If Miller doesn't commit by the end of this summer people should worry IMO.

Between Miller and Jones, OSU is looking good for a big time QB in '11!

Yeah, its been talked about that Braxton wants to round up a nice class for OSU if he ends up committing to us. We have lacked those types of guys this season but had them with Brewster getting guys interested in OSU.

So I take it we can count on running the QB draw and short screen passes exclusively for the next few years?

As in when Jake and Elwood race to the courthouse to make the payment, they get in the elevator and go up to the clerk's floor.

Because he is going to visit all of his top 5 teams like almost every top recruit.OldDanTucker wrote: If he is die hard OSU already why is he visiting florida during the spring game?
OSU, Alabama, Florida, Georgia and Notre Dame are his top teams.

Because he'd be stupid not to. All top recruits will use all their visits to visit the top programs in the nation.OldDanTucker wrote: If he is die hard OSU already why is he visiting florida during the spring game?

First of all, Miller is from Huber Hts. Wayne, also called Dayton Wayne. He's a 6'2 QB with 4.4 speed and a highly rated QB in the nation. Clip doesn't show much of his arm, but it is strong. He also plays a D-I schedule aginst teams like Colerain & GCL schools. He has a ton of upside. Great propect if OSU gets him.

Most of the time if someone is 100% commited then no they do not. Now it wont surprise me if he commits to OSU but nothing tells me that this guy is 100% commited to them right now and is going to try to persuade other guys to join him therecharliehustle14 wrote:Because he'd be stupid not to. Most guys do take at least a few of their visits even if they are 100% committed. Might be why he's getting visits out of the way Early, like he is with Florida. I mean who wouldn't want to go to Florida in the spring free of charge? Or take a free trip to the other top schools. I know I would take all of them if possible, even though I know I'd be a Buckeye from day 1.
He can still visit all of these schools and commit to the Buckeyes in early August and pull in a good recruiting class.

I don't know what recruiting you follow but I'd say at least 70% of the top players take their allotted visits.OldDanTucker wrote:Most of the time if someone is 100% commited then no they do not. I'm an OSU fan and if I were a top recruit who had an offer from OSU and had my mind already made up that I was going there, I'd still take some visits to some other schools. No sense in just letting (mostly) free trips go to waste.
