Celtics will be fine once Garnett gets back. They are a different team without him and he is their heart and soul so you really need to take these losses with a grain of salt. Same would go for the Cavs playing without Lebron; would you really be that upset after a loss when he didn't play?

Pistons did play well in the second half and made a lot of big plays. If they can get healthy (finally) during this nice homestand, they can get back into the playoff picture.

Cavs have been very lucky so far in avoiding the injury bug. Although last year, the injury bug never slowed down the Cav locomotive.

How many times did the old Lakers win the title in the early 2000's? Besides the one in 2000, they never had home court advantage in the west. They paced themselves through the regular season for the playoffs. The Celtics has too much talent and experience to fold in the post season. They are still very dangerous.

Ehhh, I wouldn't exactly compare losing KG at this point to losing LeBron. If the Cavs lose LeBron, they're not a playoff team. If the Celtics lose KG, they're still a top team in the East. Not a valid comparison. Now, I still get your general point, and yes, these losses shouldn't be taken as seriously. However, with the way KG seems to be getting injured now, you kind of have to expect it and factor it in with this team. The same goes for the other players as well. I don't think we've seen the end of injuries with the Big 3. If anything, this stretch just goes to show just how amazing of an athlete Ray Allen is. With some of the minutes he's logged if you add in last year's playoff run, it's pretty amazing he hasn't come down with anything.

The Celtics without Garnett is nothing like the Cavs without LeBron. Obviously they're far better with him, but I lol'd when I heard that.

Well clearly losing Lebron means more to the Cavs since he is dropping about a 3rd of their points each night, but it's the same principle. Garnett is the reason the Celtics came back from obscurity. Not Allen, not Pierce, but KG. The Celtics without him are no higher than a 4 seed in the East over the course of a whole season. Pierce could never get it done by himself, but even with Rondo and Allen, it's not enough. The Cavs without Lebron are probably still a playoff team as well with Mo, Shaq(never missed the playoffs), and the rest of the cast since the East blows.
