The way it's set up now, a guy doesn't even have to pass one class to play his Freshman year, and then can move on to the NBA afterwards.
Either put in a "minor league", or institute what the NFL does. College BB will then be for college students who wish to play BB.

True. For schools that are on semesters, a player can take an no-brainer class during the first semester, and then play ball and not have to take a significant course until BB is finished. They get the press for playing for a big school and get noticed by the NBA scouts. If the D-league was as well respected as the college programs, why would they bother signing up to a college in the first place?

Give the D-League time.
They had a high school player pass on college and overseas teams to enter the D-League this season.
There will be more, eventually the D-League will grow into a true minor league like MLB has.

To much money being paid overseas for a D legue to atract any good players.
