I decided to take my gf to Chicago for Valentines weekend and I'm looking on tips of where to eat. I looked at a lot of the places Frommer's and various web sites suggest but they all seem to have a standard course meal set up or a menu with a lot of seafood (she isn't a fan). I made reservations for The Signature Room at the 95th which is the restaurant on the 95th floor of the John Hancock Center but I was wondering if anyone had any recommendations.
Thanks!
Thanks!

Signature's food is just so-so and overpriced. Just go for a few drinks to enjoy the view.
Depends on what you want to spend. Japanais is a good sushi place, but could easily set you back over $200. A bit more affordable at maybe $100 or so are a three good tapas places, Emilio's Tapas, Cafe Iberico, and Cafe Ba Ba Reeba.
I can vouch for Rosebud, though I think Valentine's day would be difficult.

One Sunday before the NFL games started I had lunch at Ditdka's. Actually sat upstairs at the small bar next to Mark Malone. Food was overpriced and average, of course. LOL

As September63 indicated, avoid the sports celebrity places, they are uniformly meedy oaker.

This place would be good for lunch and the Lincoln Park area is pretty nice.

It would not be a trip to Chicago without stopping in to see The Billy Goat Tavern. Old Belushi Saturday Night Live skit based on this place, a lot of history here. Cheeborger, cheeborger LOL
