. . . fast food restaurant out there. I just stopped at White Castle to get some dinner, and it was $3.00 for two double cheese burgers. I could get three double stacks at Wendy's or three double cheese burgers at Burger King for the same price, and those three probably have twice the meat as two White Castle doubles.

Also, two doubles with bacon were $4.20. Again, I could get 4 Jr. Bacon Cheeseburgers at Wendy's for $4.00 or on the right day get two Stackers at BK for $3.00.

I will never be eating at White Castle again unless someone else is buying.

You guys are missing the point! Not only are you buying a tiny little burger, but you are also getting a free colon cleanse with your purchase (although you might have to eat more than just two). They wouldn't call them sliders for nothing!

It was expensive because you got the wrong thing.

You need to get four or five sliders with cheese. It wouldn't run you over 5 bucks.

I would agree. Arby's is #2 overpriced behind White Castle.

White Castle is not White Castle if you don't get what they are famous for!!!!!! Sliders are the reason you're there. Anything else ruins the moment! I don't think I've ever gone to a White Castle and gotten anything else. They are an American Institution! Long live the Flag, the Constitution, Democracy, Freedom, and Sliders.....

...White Castle...IMO...sucks! Their little burgers our horrible & can't think of any reason to ever try them again. Arby's may be a little pricier, but at least their food is edible.

White Castle is unique in the hamburger business. You either love 'em or you don't. There is no in between. My standard order= 4 double cheese w/ketchup and mustard, medium red pop an onion chips.

You are absolutely correct about the White Castle attraction, Squirmydog! I am one of those who fell in love with White Castle the first time I had one, and have maintained my appreciation for them my whole life.

White Castle is an island of ultra fine culinary cuisine seen only through the misty fog of profound intoxication.

Ahhhh, my friend, how misguided you are. I don't blame you. I believed that myself during my college days and beyond. I can say that I have enjoyed "the ground beef of the gods" with a clear mind for many years. Yes my friend, they are that good.

We actually just got a crave case last night. There was one burger left the next morning, it was quite embarassing. But while on the topic white castle may be the only meal that smells the same coming out as is does going in.

Sliders are like nothing else. You can go to Wendy's, BK or McDonalds and get the same old thing, but NOTHING tastes like a White Castle hamburger, like them or not.
You want overpriced? How about BW3 wings?
