My apologies if there has been a thread on this, as I haven't been on much of late, but what's up with this Tim Tebow anti-abortion commercial scheduled to run during the Super Bowl:

http://sports.espn.go.com/ncf/news/story?id=4832500

Maybe afterward there will be a commercial featuring a beaten, pregnant woman who has been gang-raped, while brain-washed fools stone her for contemplating aborting the fetus.

Not sure why this got moved to the college football thread ... Tebow is no longer a college player, the Super Bowl is a pro sport, and the theme of this thread is more political than anything ... oh well.

Ummmm, maybe because his mom's doctor told her to abort him (tebow) or she could possibly die. She refused, and look what happened. A healthy child who became one of the best cfb players of all time.

It is great to see Tebow take a stand against the execution of babies. It is nice to see athletes make a stand for social justice. Many athletes have done things to try to stop genocides in many parts of the world (mainly in Africa). It is a good to see Tebow to show some ethics and use the voice that he has been given to take on the biggest social injustice in our country.

I'm pro-life and can understand a woman's right to choose (it's none of my business) but the last part of your post is ignorant beyond belief!

I'd be all for a ban on abortion but the realist in me realizes that it is probably a necessity. The last thing you want is girls using coat hangars, falling down steps, etc.

On the other hand what is so bad about somebody speaking their mind? haha. We still live in the United States don't we?

Um, as others have pointed out, this is America. Tim Tebow, like anyone else, is granted the right to speak his mind on any issue he pleases. That's what living in a free country means. This is why I have no problem with this Super Bowl commercial. That and abortion is the murdering of babies.

This is moving into a discussion that is better suited for the thread in the politics forum.

Ya, this thread was created in this forum once... I moved it over to Politics. Please don't open another thread on this topic in the College Football Forums.
