After starting off the season with a good show in Glendale last week FNF is in Laredo, Texas with featherweights this week. Couple good knockouts and a packed venue last week, maybe FNF can duplicate that this week(yes, the venue was small but a packed small arena is better than a bigger venue that is half empty).

Juan Carlos Burgos(23-0) vs Juan Carlos Martinez(17-11-1) in the main event.
Trial horse Martinez is a late replacement for the headliner. Late subs have a habit of pulling off upsets on FNF and Martinez has faced better opposition than Burgos, could be interesting.
Here is the rest of the line up:

Looks like a few boxers are going to get to make their pro debut on national television.

On Saturday FSN has the first episode of a new boxing series.
The show is headlined by Kassim Ouma(26-6-1) vs Vanes Martirosyan(26-0)

Looks like a decent show on paper.

I got to meet Vanes Martirosyan at the Pavlik fight in December. He's going to be a stud especially with Roach as his coach.

FNF was pretty much a dud this week.
I hope Yaundale Evans gets a lot of espn dates, he may never hoist a title belt but he's going to be involved in some exciting fights.

Not impressed with Martirosyan ytowngirl.

He barely squeaked by a faded version of Ouma this weekend. Had his knees buckled several times and got dropped late and it's not like Ouma is known for his punching power.
It was great fight though, lots of action and drama, fight was very close regardless of the scorecards, I had it 95-94 Martirosyan.
Good crowd too, small venue but they filled it up and they were clearly behind Vanes. The fsn show was way better than espn this week.
