As an MC?

Well, it shouldn't even be a question, Mos Def.

But, as a complete artist, you go with Kanye West, as his production ability has more value than Mos Def's lyrics.

But, I'm assuming you mean as an MC, and for me, that's a no brainer.

Kanye>Mos Def. $$$$ and fame speak for themselves.

I hate Kanye but the dude can rap.

In that case, Nickelback is better than Animal Collective.

As a pure MC, I don't know how anyone who has heard a pure MC could say that Kanye West has a better flow, delivery, or voice than Mos Def. And I can actually listen to people who might think that he's a better lyricist, though I disagree.

A lot of Kanye's fame, and what respect he has left is, and always has been predicated on how he's advancing the art of production.

Mos Def is the better lyricist...

Hands down..

Kanye isn't too shabby himself, but I definitely agree with upper on this one..
