It's opening night for the John Calipari era at the University of Kentucky, what many believe to be the rebirth of the UK basketball dynasty. Wildcat fans will get annoying real fast if they start winning quick -- which I'm assuming they will -- but it's good to see Kentucky back. College basketball wasn't the same without them.
Anyone watching? I am, until I turn over to the radio for Duke/Greensboro at 7.
Pretty empty house in Rupp...

Kentucky's boys can certainly finish inside. Albeit it's Morehead State, they are nasty in there. Already have racked up a few old-fashioned 3-point plays.
UK has athletes. We all knew that.
I don't really have anything else to say, as Morehead State is about to get ran over by a 30-wheeler, and my attention is heading to Duke and the evening humming of Bob Harris on the Duke Radio Network.

This game is also on ESPNU.
Luckily, I found Duke-Greensboro on justin tv as well. Excited to fianlly see my Devils in action here in a couple of minutes. I won't be able to see it all, but I figure this game will be taken care of quickly. The Spartans were pretty terrible last year.

I'll just post a couple of updates here.
Duke up early behind Singler. He has five points on a three ball and a nice take to the hoop. He looks solid.
Olek had a big slam early.

Duke scores 50+ (I believe it was) at the half ... up by about 25 at one point. I was watching off and on as the internet connection was kind of fuzzy at moments.
I'm calling it a night on this one. This one's over. Heading out. Will try to catch the rest on the radio or streaming.
Big start to the week next week, though. Duke plays Monday and Tuesday on ESPN's family of networks.
Cannot wait to see the boys on television.

I watched this game, and UK looked sloppy in the first half but dominated the 2nd half. Patterson looked really good, and back up PG Bledsoe had 24 points (because of Wall's suspension). Alot of height and shooters for UK this year compared to the past few seasons. They need a little bit more chemistry, but its the first game, and a bunch of frosh. Orton and Cousins didnt do to much, but transfer Dodson looked pretty good. Nice 3 point shot from the 6'7 dodson. This team will be fun to watch when they click.

I am excited for this year. I thought that the almost got bored towards the end of the game. I think we will be very good this year. I dont want to get my hopes up, but it's hard not to.
