I suck these values out monthly and create a type of escrow account of my own.

I do too. But it's not fun writing those checks. Something like $2200 of my $2600 property tax bill is for schools. I don't even have kids!! lol.

My advice is to get crackin on that then. Gotta take advantage.

I'm beginning to think the same thing.

I was just on the phone with a buddy of mine and he found out that his accountant has been making unemployment insurance premium payments for him for the past 2 years... he's self employed LOL :dodgy:

I kept telling him to use the guy that everyone in my family has used for years and years, but no, he went with some guy who had 6 months experience then started his own firm.

Yeah The Ohio Supreme court ruled a while ago that they had to fund the Schools someway else other than relying on Property tax so much but nothing has changed.
So much for the so called "Free Education" of Public Schools.
There has to be a better way. Property Taxes are getting out of hand.
