Now lie in it. You fired a coach that went 148-52 from 1993 to 2008. That's winning almost 10 games a year. Yet you fired him because College Football is a what have you done for me lately society and you are surprised that Kiffen jumped ship so fast. I have to wonder if Fulmer is having a good chuckle with his coffee and donut this morning.

Kiffin, Saban, and Carroll are the same type of guys. Don't be surprised when they leave.

The biggest loss of Kiffin is not having his wife in the stands.

Part of me thinks about Michigan, and how many fans couldn't wait to get rid of Carr, only to snatch up RRod and consequently tank their beloved football program.

Reign of nothingness?

You mean the National Title and two of the best players to ever play for Tennessee (Manning and Martin)?

If that's "nothing", whoever is next has some BIG shoes to fill on Rocky Top.

Let me guess, you're Johnny's daddy aren't you? Little guy didn't get to play enough minutes, so now you hate the coach?

Seriously dude, get over it.

Yeah being fired from the Raiders, taking a college coaching position and then bailing and the EARLIEST opportunity for something else just oozes class

I don't get what Kiffen has done as a head coach that gets everyone so excited about him. The guy is still unproven as a head coach.

Seriously dude, get a fucking clue before you start running off at the cocksucker. Also, FWIW Kiffin is a bigger scumbag than Fulmer.

manning always gives his qb coach cutcliffe(current duke coach and rumored hc possibility) the kudos, never fulmer. im not even sure fulmer recruited manning. i'll check on that and get back with ya. are you talking about tee martin? if so, you dont follow ut football very close.

Kiffin has had 3 jobs handed to him on a silver platter and has yet to prove anything. Sometimes I just don't get it.

What a bunch of crap. Fulmer was fired because UT had slid to the bottom half of the SEC over the previous six seasons; this wasn't "You had a bad season, get out". They missed bowl games twice in his last four years there, lost to Wyoming, and were getting destroyed by Florida and Alabama.

Here's something to consider. Fulmer was at UT as a head coach for 16 years. What's his coaching tree look like? I'll give you a hint: there isn't one. How many other people have been in that position for that long and have had one person move on to become a head coach (at Ole Miss and Duke).

Too many to count.

Johnny Majors can kiss my ass.
