As long as he plays for the Cavs I could care less what number he wears. That is his olympic number correct? I wonder why he is changing it now?

I like the fact that he's not wearing #23, but why now?

I thought he was done talking about next year? :)

Like OB said, I don't care what number he wears as long as he stays in Cleveland.

He said it was out of respect for MJ, but I think it's ironic that he says this after he played IN MIAMI, where #23 is retired... :)

I think he's gone.

And Craig Seger asked him a follow up question along the lines of, "And what jersey will that #6 be on?"

Lebron answered, "We'll see."

I think he'll stay in C-Town, but if he were to leave, I believe he would team up with Dwade.

Chris Bosh is the guy I think Lebron really wants to hook up with.

What is?

Changing his number out of respect for the greatest basketball to have ever played the game is a dumbass reason? He said he thinks 23 should be retired throughout the League. It should be. He only wears the number because of MJ and now he wants to show his respect to him/the number by not wearing, I applaud him for it.

Good move.

The NBA hasn't done anything to pay respect to the greatest so LeBron is taking control by getting the #23 retirement rolling in the right direction.

LeBron stays in Cleveland next season.

he needs to stop seeing $$$$ sighs and start realizing that it is really hard to have a good supporting class when you make the max. If he wants to be like wade than go for it but that's not going to put rings on his fingers. Sure wade won one tittle but that was before the big money and now miami he is not going to get another one for a long time. Iverson is in the same boat. Lebron wants to be a billionaire but he has no shot at that until after he is long gone from the NBA via stocks and what not. The kid needs to realize that he will never be the richest person in the world.

Yes, because he mentioned $$$ was the main reason for the change.

Also, in every interview what is his main reason for 2010? Its all about winning for LeBron and then money 2nd.

I honestly don't care what number is on the back as long as it says Cleveland on the front.

Look believe what you want but if he does stay in Cleveland than he will make them pay more than the MAX because they can. That is a guarantee. He is not taking less money for a better team and if you look around there are not to many teams that are consistently good with a player making the max or in this case above it. He wants more money from sales just like Kobe did. He can say he wants a tittle and I believe him but taking all the money is not going to help his chances.
