Anybody see where Bernie is over $30M in debt? Sheriff's Sale this past weekend on his home in FL. Must have borrowed money from the Browns becuz he owes them $1.3M. His kids and ex-wife don't speak to him and he has severe OCD. Koser was not some thug, how does a guy like Bernie lose everything?

Well, the severe OCD may explain the other problems. Somebody with severe obsessions & compulsions will have difficulty making good decisions.

That's very sad to hear. I always like Bernie. Hopefully someone will see that he gets some treatment.

My understanding is Bernie was heavily involved in the Florida real estate market with whatever businesses he was involved in, and when the market went belly up so did his net worth.

He had some bad business dealings, and of course the divorce isn't helping matters.

Read that article. At the time of his divorce, he didnt know how to run a dishwasher or even do his own laundry.

Yea, just bad investing. Not necessarily wasted his money on cars and drugs, but I guess in the end it doesn't matter. He's broke.

One of the news stations did a piece on this months ago. The on thing that they also talked about at length was that Bernie would give money to just about anyone that asked for it. At best estimate they figutrd that he gave away something likr $5M in his years of having money. I wonder if anyone is considering returning the favor and helping him out now.

That's the kind of thing that I wonder how many pro athletes (especially high-profile ones) have issues with. I remember reading a Sports Illustrated article from early in Peyton Manning's career where it was mentioned that he was essentially inept at various simple household tasks.

When, by virtue of your athletic skills, you easily can get people to do those mundane day-to-day things for you, how self-sufficient are you going to be in the long run?

Bernie got caught up in his own financial hubris. He was a finance major at the U. Gee, I wonder if the recruiters down their use Bernie on their promo material.

Bernie should get a bailout. After all, the execs at Lehman Bros, Washington Mutual and AIG knocked down millions in bonus bucks after fucking up the whole economy.

A belly up Bernie didn't ask for nor received any TARP money.
