Yeah..I seen this last night on the news. Cracks me up how Stern thought it would be 'kept quiet'. Yeah right..not these days.

yeah he is beyond helping. if you're really going to kill yourself can't you set up a DNR ahead of time so if you are found self mutilated they can't revive you?

I'm pretty sure he's cried for help already..multiple times. Nobody is going to be able to help you if you don't want to help yourself.

I didn't expect this. I thought his hospitalization was due to drug use or heart issues. Hopefully he gets help.

He may not truly want to end his life. Speaking from experience, combining drugs/alcohol can cause you to say/do things that you honestly do not mean or intend to. I'm guessing this is the case with Artie. He was hopped up on a combo of drugs and alcohol, got depressed for falling off the wagon and this was the result. He has to stay clean if he wants to stay alive.

Again, its only my opinion. Only time will tell....

OMG Artie is my favorite, I'm a bit shocked but not surprised. He needs major help. He needs to forget about the Stern show and just get help. He has a ton of demons and it'll eventually catch up with him if he doesn't do something about it now.

Yeah, when I read this, the first thing I thought was that if he wants to live for a significant amount of time, he probably should take an extended hiatus from anything like the radio and comedy circuits and not return to the public eye until he's come to grips with his issues.

He seems to have constant meltdowns and then pops back up after a brief vacation. He's only putting a bandage on his problems instead of trying to cure them.
